The purpose of this projekt is to show how electroactive membranes can be prepared by specific synthesis, either by polymerisation from functionalised monomers, or by radiation induced grafting onto polymer films. The electrochemical characterisation and molecular modelling of these polymers, as well as analysis of chemical stability, are induced in the manifold och chemical and physico-chemical methods by which these new materials will be described, and ultimately, applications identified.
